iOS 8 Update Problems for iPod Touch 5: It Isn't Over Yet
Ever since the new operating system update was rolled out last month, users are complaining about how it has been a bad decision for their phones. Although there is no doubt that iOS 8 is an ambitious project and a giant leap towards the future, Apple cannot neglect that fact that they have disappointed a lot of existing users to create a future market.
Apparently iOS 8 has been developed to support better user experience while supporting technologies such as Apple Pay and Apple Watch. However, this operating system takes enormous space and eats up a large chunk of the random access memory too. Then there are usual concerns of low network, battery drain, and keyboard lag. Unfortunately, users of iPod Touch, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 have faced the maximum number of issues with this update.
Now several reputed technology websites including Phone Arena have now confirmed that Apple is coming up with iOS 8.1 on Monday to deal with these issues. It seems that the developers have worked on the beta program to fix a host bugs while improving the overall performance on devices such as iPod Touch, which should be a relief for users all across the world.
However, many experts believe that problems are far from being over especially for iPod Touch and iPhone 4S users. They believe that Apple is not really concerned with improving performance on older devices and just wants to make it better for Apple Pay performance. In fact, Gotta Be Mobile recommends that users shouldn't straight away update on iOS 8.1 on Monday. They should rather wait if the device is an important part of the day to day activities. It takes a lot of time to understand to consequences of a new update and it's actually wise to wait and see what other have to say about it.
Meanwhile, experts on iPod Touch usage recommend that you keep enough space on the device to accommodate next update. Just like the previous update, it is better to use computer and iTunes for iOS 8.1. Also keep the battery charged for over 80% before initiating the update.
