Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - First Expansion Pack Announced and Game of the Year Edition Revealed
Square Enix has officially announced the very first expansion pack, Heavensward, for the renowned MMO Final Fantasy XIV, which will be released in Spring 2015.
Naoki Yoshida, the director of the game, has announced the great news in his keynote during the Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest in the city of Las Vegas. According to Gamespot, Heavensward will be part of the game's 3.0 update. It will also raise the level cap up to 60 and unveils new dungeons, jobs, high-end raids, as well as Primals.
The game will also acquire a new playable race. Yet, Yoshida did not mention which race, but gamers and fans can assure that it is not Viangaa, which was previously rumored. Players can also build airships to explore Ishgard and beyond. In addition, there will be a new big open areas in the game.
The first expansion will also concentrate on the Dragonsong War, which is a thousand-year conflict between Dravania and Ishgard that gamers will have to end.
In some news, IGN revealed the Game of the Year edition of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which will be available in November 14. The game's limited edition will be only available for PC and comes bundled in the printed box of Book of Diamonds Gromoire together with five art card as well as ninety-day subscription to the famous MMO.
A ninja job and new rouge class were announced at the E3 2014 for the MMO Fantasy XIV. These will be added in the game with the latest 2.4 patch. The Chocobo Racing's addition and expansion are also on the cards. As most of you expect, the new bundle will feature all the additions, which everyone have seen on the launch of the game including the ability to have a same-sex marriage.
Meanwhile, as of now, GameNGuide reported that there is still no definite date for the release of Heavensward. As a matter of fact, there's no concrete release date for the Dreams of Ice, which is the forthcoming patch 2.4 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn though it is due before the month end.
Fans were also advised not to miss the London Fan Festival this weekend for more announcements about the Heavensward as well as Dreams Of Ice.
