HTC Desires 820 Mini vs Desire 820: The 820 Is The Best In The 'Desire' Series
During September's IFA event, the long-awaited HTC Desire 820 was revealed. This is HTC Desire 816 successor, but some rumors are already spreading that the new device will have its own successor very soon in the form of HTC Desire 820 Mini.
As reported by Geeky Gadgets, the mini version was spotted already on HTC's Chinese website; however, it was removed almost instantly. The model's identification number is D82ou, thanks to this listing, some remarkable details have already been spread.
The upcoming mini version has similar specifications to the original Desire 820; though it comes with a smaller 5-inches display. It has a back camera of 8MP with LED flash, while the front camera has 5MP feature.
The HTC Desire 820 Mini's processor isn't known yet, only that it's been released that it's clocked at 1.2GHz. iTech Post, on the other hand, has reported that the mini version will most probably have a Snapdragon 410 and Snapdragon 400 chipset. The device will have an internal memory of 8GB, RAM of 1GB- all powered-up by 2100 mAh battery capacity. Further, this will accommodate two SIMs, running under Android version 4.4 KitKat.

Its predecessor HTC Desire 820, on the other hand, features a 615 Snapdragon SoC, which was primarily developed for average phones. Also, has eight A53 Cortex cores, four of which are clocked at 1.5 GHz while the other four are at 1 GHz. Desire 820 has featured a 13 MP primary camera and 8 MP secondary camera.
While HTC isn't a dominant market player in the world of technology and mobile gadgets right now, it is one of those which are continuously making improvements in their products, especially in delivering mid-range segments through their "Desire Series".
This year, this Taiwanese giant was able to launch several smartphone models under the Desire series, which includes the Desire Dual SIM 516, Desire Dual SIM 310, Desire Dual SIM 210, Desire Dual SIM 616, and Desire Dual SIM 816.
HTC has previously emphasized that their Desire 820 is their top model under the series, highlighting its Qualcomm 64-bit processor, octa-core, and built-in LTE modem.
