Award-winning Worship Artist and Songwriter PATRICK DOPSON Releases New Radio Single and Lyric Video "GOD IS"

Patrick Dopson has established his distinguished soulful voice as one that God has designated a special anointing for praise and worship and to cross, tear down and unify racial, cultural and denominational barriers. Patrick is a 2014 Stellar Award winner who, by his pen, delivers poignant lyrics and life-changing music. His 2012 debut project OPEN THE HEAVENS yielded signature hits "Keep Me" and "Open The Heavens". Patrick is now prepping for his sophomore release GOD IS (fill in the blank) on his indie label Oilonit Music and Central South Distribution by releasing a new radio single and title track "GOD Is".
With the plethora of songs that come about every day, each are purposeful in their own right. "GOD Is" is simply a powerful song, for this appointed time, that ignites a deluge of worship. That is the uniquely special 'thing' that sets this song apart from any other.
"I started writing this song by really asking God two things about this record," Patrick shares. "One, 'what is it that you want to say to your people?' and two, 'what do you want your people saying back to you - how do You want to be worshipped?'. There was simply no other intent." Patrick concludes, "This particular song really was pulling on me. I knew it was supposed to be the single before I wrote it."

"With my song "Keep Me" people became aware of how God carried me and my wife Christina through the challenges of conceiving a child," Patrick shares. "We were blessed to adopt our son Garion and he has changed our lives forever. In this season, God has placed a couple of new and exciting items on our plate that is far more than we can accomplish on our own. We know it's going to be all Him. So this new single 'GOD Is' is definitely reiterating our dependence being fully on Him; Giving us the faith to stand on our feet and say GOD IS!"
Patrick, Kevin Camp (contributed to OPEN THE HEAVENS) and Parris Bowens (former Tye Tribbett Music Director) will be at the producing helm on GOD IS (fill in the blank) which will release this summer. "Both Kevin and Parris are musical masterminds that truly create an atmosphere for praise and worship," says Patrick. "I look forward to working with these guys for some years to come. They are really the next, now producers."
"GOD Is" will be available on iTunes March 18 and is available for pre-order now. Patrick has released the official lyric video to "GOD Is" on Youtube. Supporters can log on to www.Oilonit.com for current tour dates as a national tour will soon be announced.
