Francesca Battistelli Reflects on Her 3 Dove Award Nominations

Singer and songwriter Francesca Battistelli received a Dove Award Song of the Year nomination for "He Knows My Name," bringing her total for the 2015 ceremony to three nominations. In a previous announcement, she received nods for top honor Artist of the Year and Worship Song of the Year for "Holy Spirit," which just wrapped an impressive 15-week run at No. 1. It's Battistelli's third consecutive single from 2014 album If We're Honest to stay at No. 1 for multiple weeks.
"It's always an honor to receive nominations of any kind, but to be nominated for Dove Awards in these categories by my peers-its incredible. I'm so thankful to be part of the CCM community and to get to do what I love while seeing lives impacted. It's hugely rewarding."
The nomination brings her total to 26 career Dove Award nominations, with six wins. There's so much more to celebrate, though, as Battistelli took to social media recently to announce the expansion of her family.
Battistelli announced the upcoming arrival of her third child by posting a drawing created by her four year old son.
"We are so thrilled to be expanding our family and can't wait to welcome another baby in March of 2016!" Francesca said. "God has truly blessed us beyond our wildest dreams, and we are so thankful we can continue to make music for His glory while raising a family."
But before the new baby arrives, Battistelli has more big plans. She will spend the Fall as part of the Live Forever Tour with Matthew West. After, she'll be launching The Third Annual Francesca Battistelli Christmas Tour on Dec. 3 in Jackson, Tennessee. Nine stops are being announced with more dates expected to be added in the coming weeks.
