Blake Shelton Wants Joey + Rory to Win at the Grammys

In the upcoming 2016 Grammy Awards, country music superstar Blake Shelton is nominated in the same category as Joey + Rory Feek. Shelton and Joey + Rory Feek are both nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Joey + Roy Feek are both nominated for their song, "If I Needed You," and Blake Shelton is nominated with Ashley Monroe for their song, "Lonely Tonight."
When asked by a fan if Shelton would like to win a Grammy, he would rather than Joey + Rory Feek win. Shelton writes on Twitter: "I'd LOVE to win a Grammy but honestly want to see @joeyandrory win that one."
Joey Feek is currently suffering from terminal cancer. Though they are releasing their new hymns album Hymns that Are Important to Us on Valentine's Day, Joey is at the final stages of her bout with cancer. When the Feeks first realized they were nominated for a Grammy, Joey broke down in tears Monday after learning that she and husband Rory have received their first ever Grammy nomination.
The 40-year-old, who has terminal cancer and is so frail she can no longer get out of bed, was awoken by her husband with the news that their duet If I Needed You had been nominated for best country duo/group performance.
'As her excitement and tears flowed into mine. She said, "how can that be?"' Rory posted on his Facebook page.
Rory continued: 'The song received no radio airplay... no press... no critical acclaim... and the only music video we made for it was to celebrate the day our little Indiana was born.'
'God is so good,' he added. 'Thank you, thank you, thank you.'
The couple are currently living back in Joey's home town of Alexandria, Indiana, after she made the decision to stop treatment and enter hospice in her long battle with cervical cancer.
