Details of Christina Grimmie's Funeral Service Revealed

The Voice's alum Christina Grimmie will be laid to rest on Friday in her home state of New Jersey. Relatives and friends will attend a memorial at Fellowship Alliance Chapel on Friday followed by a private burial. Donations have been asked to be made to the Christina Grimmie Scholarship Fund for the Performing Arts of Cherokee High School.
"It's just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends," a source previously told People magazine.
"Christina was truly a light in this world," the orbituary notice reads. "Anyone who met her was blessed by knowing her. Heaven has certainly gained an angel for their choir."
Though the funeral is for family and friends, fans were able to say goodbye on Monday as they turn out to remember Grimmie at a candlelit vigil. The service was also held in her hometown. Addressing the crowds, Christina's brother Marcus - who was hailed a hero after tackling the shooter - shared: "Christina was awesome.
"She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me. She was my baby sister."
He later posted a moving post on Facebook where he wrote: "Thank you for all who came out tonight. It was awesome. If anyone has any pictures or anything from the night I'd love to see them. Sorry if I missed you. Thanks for loving my sister like I did everyone."
Christina Gimmie, who is also known for her outspoken Christian faith, was shot. On June 10, 2016, Grimmie was shot by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl while she signed autographs following her performance with Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida. Loibl then fatally shot himself after being tackled by Grimmie's brother Marcus.
The singer was rushed to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. According to an employee at the hospital, Christina died shortly after she was brought to the ER. On Saturday, the Orlando Police Department released the name and driver's license photo of the 27-year-old shooter, Kevin James Loibl of St. Petersburg, Florida.
