Christina Grimmie's Dad Talks About God's Sovereignty After His Daughter's Tragic Death

The Voice's alum Christina Gimmie, who is also known for her outspoken Christian faith, was bid goodbye by her family and friends last Saturday. On June 10, 2016, Grimmie was shot by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl while she signed autographs following her performance with Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida. Loibl then fatally shot himself after being tackled by Grimmie's brother Marcus.
The singer was rushed to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. According to an employee at the hospital, Christina died shortly after she was brought to the ER. On Saturday, the Orlando Police Department released the name and driver's license photo of the 27-year-old shooter, Kevin James Loibl of St. Petersburg, Florida.
"This crowd has blessed me beyond words," father Bud Grimmie told the crowd. "There is this gigantic hole in my heart that I know is never going to go away, but God showed me He is way bigger than that hole. I believe that. There are three things that keep me upright rather than being a crumpled mess in the corner. I know I am going to see her again."
The Grimmies raised their daughter to praise Jesus from the beginning.
"I don't have too much to say. I could tell you about the memories of when she was a baby and she lah-la-lahed and when she was getting a bath, I'd tell her to sing for Jesus," mother Tina Grimmie said.
In Christina's death, many fans remember her faith in Christ above all.
