Criminal Minds' Season 10 CBS Premiere Date, Jennifer Love Hewitt Joins Cast
Jennifer Love Hewitt has been revealed as part of the cast for Season 10 of the CBS hit crime show "Criminal Minds" when it premieres this Fall. Hewitt will play the role of Kate Callahan, who is a seasoned undercover agent whose work at the FBI has landed her a position within the Behavioral Analysis Unit.
"We're thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast," shared "Criminal Minds" executive producer Erica Messer. "Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again. We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season."
"Criminal Minds" has always had strong ratings on CBS but suffered some of their lowest ratings last season. They are hoping a splash of some new cast mind re-invigorate the show for stronger ratings in Season 10.
Hewitt has a relationship with CBS from previously starring in the show "Ghost Whisperer" for five seasons through 2010. She then joined the cast of Lifetime series "The Client List," which ran for two seasons and earned Hewitt a Golden Globe nomination.
Hewitt became a household name with her starring role on the TV show "Party of Five" which ran from 1994-2000. She co-starred with Scott Wolf, Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert, Scott Grimes, Paula Devicq, Michael Goorjian, Alexondra Lee, Jeremy London and Jennifer Aspen.
You can catch the Season 10 premiere of "Criminal Minds" on October 1st at 9 p.m. on CBS.
