Bel Thomson Welcomes New Baby Girl into Her Family

Australian Christian music singer and songwriter Bel Thomson recently welcomed a new daughter into her family. Abigail Grace was born on Monday 3 June at 5:08pm, weighing 3.04kg (6.11 pounds). Everyone is doing really well.

The name Abigail was chosen after much thought and prayer. Abigail  means "Fathers joy/Joy of the Father." Says Bel ,"This describes her perfectly! In fact, the first time we saw Abi at our 11 week scan, she was jumping around joyfully, and Phil actually said "there's joy in the womb!" She has already brought SO much joy to our lives, and we know that her life is a joy to her Heavenly Father, and a gift to our family. "

Meanwhile the baby's middle name Grace means Gods gift to us/His umerited favour. 

Bel thanks all her fans and friends for their prayers. "Thanks so much for all your prayers surrounding her birth. By God's grace we had the most incredible birth: totally natural, with no drugs or interventions needed at all, and an excellent, fast recovery!! This was such an answer to prayer, as many of you will remember that our son's birth 3 years ago was a traumatic emergency c-section. Mikey needed urgent medical attention and time apart from us in the special care nursery, which was followed by my struggle with post natal depression. Bel's latest album "Seasons" was recorded in Nashville, USA with executive producer Ed Cash (Kari Jobe, Rend Collective, Chris Tomlin). The album features 10 new songs co-written and written by Thomson herself.  "Seasons" is filled with personal testimonies of how God has been faithful to her throughout the various seasons of her journey.
