Nicole Kidman New Movie 2014 'Before I Go to Sleep' Co-Starring Colin Firth, Watch New Trailer Here (VIDEO)
Nicole Kidman stars in the new movie Before I Go to Sleep with Colin Firth and they have released a new trailer (which you can watch above). Before I Go to Sleep is set to release to theaters in the U.K. on September 5th and the U.S. on September 12th.
The film is based on S.J. Watson's book Before I go To Sleep and is a psychological thriller about a woman (Kidman) who suffers a massive head trauma that causes her to forget everything about her life when she goes to sleep and wake up every day remembering nothing. Until one day, new terrifying truths emerge that force her to question everyone around her.
The 47-year-old actress and co-star Firth are joined by Mark Strong and Anne-Marie Duff. The movie is directed by Rowan Joffe (who wrote the screenplay for 28 Weeks Later) and produced by Ridley Scott. Director Joffe shared with Empire, "It's classic noir, they remind me of a Hitchcock pairing: a tall, dark handsome lead and a beautiful blonde playing psychological cat and mouse!"
The film is being shot in London and at Twickenham Studios and the production companies working on the film are Millennium Films, Scott Free Productions and StudioCanal.
Nicole Kidman is best known for her work in Days of Thunder (1990), Far and Away (1992), and Batman Forever (1995). Her performance in the musical Moulin Rouge! (2001) earned her second Golden Globe Award and first Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Her performance as Virginia Woolf in the drama film The Hours (2002) received critical acclaim and earned Kidman the Academy Award for Best Actress and Silver Bear for Best Actress at Berlin film festival. Her performances in Birth (2004) and The Paperboy (2012) earned her Golden Globe nominations for best actress and supporting actress, respectively. Her performance in 2010's Rabbit Hole (which she also produced) earned Kidman further accolades, including a third Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. In 2012, she earned her first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for her role in Hemingway & Gellhorn.
