Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith Team Up For Christmas Concert (Video)

Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith are coming together for a major Christmas show in Dallas, Texas on December 12. They will be performing at the American Airlines Center along with the Dallas Pops and a 100 plus person choir. Presale tickets are available beginning July 11 on Ticketmaster.
The two Christian artists are no strangers in releasing Christmas music. Together, they have recorded 13 holiday sets.
Amy Grant's most successful Christmas set was her 1992 "Home for Christmas." The album not only managed to peak at #1 on Billboard's Christian Album chart, it was also a #2 hit on Billboard's overall tally. Certified by RIAA as 3X platinum, selling over 3 million copies in the US alone, the set was released on the heels of Grant's runaway success with her "Heart in Motion" release. Most interesting is that the album contains the David Foster, Linda Thompson and Amy Grant composed "Grown-Up Christmas List," a song that has become a modern day yuletide classic. It was later recorded by over 30 artists including Linda Eder, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole and Barbra Streisand.
Michael W. Smith, on the other hand, is following up his 2007's "It's A Wonderful Christmas" with a brand new as yet untitled Christmas set this year. This upcoming album will be his third studio release for 2014 which was preceded by a hymns album and his contemporary worship offering "Sovereign." Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town will be joining Smith in the vocals department on this forthcoming festive set.
