JJ Weeks "Sound Of Freedom FB Live" Concert Set March 22
JJ Weeks and his band will hold a "Sound of Freedom FB Live" concert this Sunday, March 22, beginning at 7:00 pm EDT / 4:00 pm PDT. The event will be streamed live at Facebook.com/jjweeksmusic and feature acoustic performances of new music from Weeks' The Sound Of Freedom EP released last month along with songs of worship and classics from his growing catalog of fan favorites.
Donations will be accepted during the event to benefit JJ Weeks Ministries through Ignite Outreach along with a special artist fund that Weeks is building to be able to assist other Christian artists being impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
"In the midst of the chaos of this pandemic, I hold fast to the promises and faithfulness of God!" exclaims Weeks. "We aren't able to host in person concerts right now, but that doesn't mean that we can't gather online for worship and encouragement. God is faithful, and I choose worship over fear!"
Along with the music, Weeks will be sharing an update during the Facebook Live event on Holt International and how children are being impacted by the pandemic. Prior to this event, Weeks shared the mission and vision of this leading adoption agency and sang for hundreds-of-thousands of people on the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular in 31 arenas before the tour was cancelled this month.
During the Winter Jam event, attendees sponsored over 4,000 children, rescuing them from poverty through Holt International, which is dedicated to carrying out God's plan for every child to have a permanent, loving home through family preservation, in-country adoption and international adoption.
Known for writing and leading hit-making songs like "Let Them See You," "Alive In Me," "What Kind Of Love" and "Do Not Be Afraid," Weeks' newest music from The Sound of Freedom EP features the radio singles "Choices," "Days Like These" and "The Sound of Freedom." The title track video was also premiered this week by CCM at https://www.ccmmagazine.com/features/exclusive-video-premiere-jj-weeks-the-sound-of-freedom/.
"Freedom comes out differently for everyone, but it is unmistakable when every chain hits the floor," says Weeks regarding "The Sound of Freedom." "Imagine standing guilty in front of judge and jury and your sins, condemnation, temptations, hopelessness, depression, not feeling like you're enough, fear and whatever you may be dealing with is all laid out for everyone to see. Then, with one word coming from the corner of the room, it all vanishes because the King says, 'That's my child.' That's the freedom I'm talking about in this song!"
Co-written and produced by GRAMMY-nominated, two-time Dove Award-winning "Producer of the Year" Ian Eskelin, "The Sound of Freedom" has been heard nationally on radio stations like KYCC (Stockton, CA), WNFR (Flint, MI), WLJN (Traverse City, MI), WCTL (Erie, PA), KCVO (Columbia, MO) and WJTL (Lancaster, PA).
