New DocuFilm "America! America! God Shed His Grace on Thee!" Explores the Role of the Bible in the Founding of the USA

The Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University has announced that it will produce a one-hour documentary, "America! America! God Shed His Grace on Thee!" that explores the role of the Bible in the founding of the United States of America, in addition to hosting a virtual version of its annual Western Conservative Summit this fall.
"The Western Conservative Summit continues its decade-long run of shaping our nation's public policy," said Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute and chairman of the Western Conservative Summit. "We are very excited for this documentary that will demonstrate the Bible's influence on the founding of our nation, the problems that have resulted from moving away from the teachings of the Bible and what we must do to get our nation back on track."
The Centennial Institute has built the Western Conservative Summit into the largest gathering of conservatives in the Western United States. For more than 10 years, an average of 2,300 attendees from 38 different states meet in Denver, Colo, for the two-day event to hear from over 50 speakers, attend workshops, interact with over 60 exhibitors and rally for the issues important to conservativism: faith, family and freedom.
Because of Covid-19 concerns, this year's summit will be held virtually this fall. The summit will kick off with a showing of "America! America! God Shed His Grace on Thee." The documentary is directed by Nick Searcy and Christopher Burgard. Searcy is an American film actor, best known as Chief Deputy Art Mullen on the hit series Justified, and the director of the feature film "Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer" (2018). Burgard is an award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of Little Bonanza Productions, LLC, who, along with his wife, Lisa, created and directed the documentary "Border: The Divide Between the American Dream and the American Nightmare" (2007).
The new film aims to show how the Bible and Judeo-Christian values were deeply influential to the formation of the United States of America and how that influence has steadily eroded in the public square. Through engaging cinematography and interviews with well-known authors, political leaders, conservative commentators and nonprofit leaders, "America! America! God Shed His Grace on Thee" will make a compelling case for why the nation must return to Scripture and its founding documents.
Following the reveal of the one-hour video, attendees will be invited to participate in digital workshops via Zoom to go more in-depth on today's most pressing issues with experts from the nation's most influential conservative organizations.
