Rory Feek to Release Second Children's Book "The Day God Made You"
Rory Feek of country music duo, Joey+Rory, will releasehis second children's book, The Day God Made You. The children's book goes on sale wherever books are sold, Tuesday, June 16.
A colorful picture book with vivid illustrations from artist Malgosia Piatkowska, The Day God Made You is a beautiful reminder to all children that God created them with purpose and love. With its gentle words about God's personal care, families will find comfort and affirmation in remembering that God delights in who He created them to be.
"We often forget that out of the billions of people that are in the world, each one of us is uniquely made, with our own unique features, personalities and lives that we will live," said Rory Feek. "And what's even more remarkable is that God knew all these things the day He made us."
Delightful rhymes and a powerful message of love make this the perfect parent-child read for families. Children and their parents will enjoy cuddling up together to discover how God delighted over each and every detail of their lives and personalities as He created them-from the shape of their eyes to the sound of their laughter.
"The book came from my little girl Indiana's almond shaped eyes," said Feek. "Although, on the day Indy was born, my wife Joey and I had no idea that she would have Down syndrome and be a little different than her big sisters and other children-God did. That was a beautiful realization for me. Not just for how Indy is uniquely made, but how all of us are. From the families we have and the work we do, to the places we live and the dreams that we dream...He knew it all. We might hold the pen, but truly, God is the writer of our life stories"
