Faith-Based Movie "My Brother's Keeper" Set to be Released in the Fall of 2020
Collide Distribution has just finalized the acquisition of the upcoming feature film, MY BROTHER'S KEEPER. The film is a powerful story of faith and redemption in the wake of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and will release in theaters in the fall of 2020. Subsequent to the theatrical release, MY BROTHER'S KEEPER will release on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD, and other platforms via UPHE Content Group.
Bob Elder, Founder and President of Collide Distribution shares, "MY BROTHER'S KEEPER is exactly the motivational, cause-related film that meets our mission at Collide. We're thrilled to be working with Manns/Mackie Studios to bring this timely feature to market."
Directed by Kevan Otto (A QUESTION OF FAITH, FORGIVEN) and written by US Army Veteran Ty Manns (A QUESTION OF FAITH, THE 5TH QUARTER), MY BROTHER'S KEEPER stars TC Stallings (WAR ROOM, A QUESTION OF FAITH), Joey Lawrence (Melissa & Joey, Blossom, Hawaii Five-0), Robert Ri'chard (COACH CARTER, Empire), and Keshia Knight Pulliam (The Cosby Show).
MY BROTHER'S KEEPER shares the story of returning war veteran SFC Travis Fox (TC Stallings) who has one more battle to fight - PTSD. Fox and his best friend SFC Ron "Preach" Pearcy (Joey Lawrence) are in their 6th combat deployment when Preach and his entire Ranger platoon are killed in a deadly improvised explosive device attack.
Travis returns to his hometown to settle the affairs of his parents who had passed away years before. In searching for answers about his parents, he also discovers a new obstacle in PTSD. He finds support from church counselor, Tiffany Robertson (Keshia Knight-Pulliam) and slowly begins to rediscover his faith in God until he discovers a secret. Travis uncovers a secret hidden by his best friend Donnie Berry (Robert Ri'chard) that threatens his new-found faith, restores his guilt, and causes him to consider the unthinkable.

Bishop Charles Mackie, co-founder of Manns/Mackie Studios explains, "So many people in our communities are silently struggling with issues surrounding PTSD, or they are trying to help and support a family member who is battling PTSD. We are excited that Collide Distribution and UPHE Content Group also understand how important this topic is, and we look forward to working together to give a message of faith and hope to so many."
Writer Manns, who is also the President of Manns/Mackie Studios shares, "I believe MY BROTHER'S KEEPER will find a wide audience of viewers, as we've coined the movies that we make as 'generational films'. These are stories that every family member from grandparents to grandchildren can all sit in a single-setting to watch and enjoy. We also pray our films will create opportunities for families to have both fun and informative discussions."
