Marc Martel Releases New Holiday EP Today “Thank God It’s Christmas!”

Martel's 2019 Christmas single, "Silver Bells," reached the top of the charts at Billboard's Monitored AC and Mediabase AC Christian charts. The project was a partnership with Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant and Martel, and was the number one most added AC song three weeks straight, received airplay on nearly 90 radio stations, had the biggest audience for a new Christmas song, and had exclusive premieres on People.com and Parade Magazine. Martel also joined Smith and Grant on their 2019 multi-city holiday tour as their special guest.

Long before his YouTube videos went viral, spawning an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and a performance with the surviving members of Queen on American Idol, Marc Martel spent 13 years recording and touring the globe with Canadian rockers Downhere. After hearing about a contest spearheaded by the actual members of Queen, the front man almost passed on the opportunity to enter, but with some prodding he casually cut a version of "Somebody To Love" in 2011, and with 30 million cumulative YouTube and Facebook views later, Martel was declared the victor. The last four radio singles from these albums have garnered him Top 10 chart positioning on Billboard's Monitored AC Christian chart. "Silver Bells" is Martel's first-ever No. 1 career single featured on his previous album, The Christmas Collection (Music City Management/Fuel Music). Now with more than 150 million YouTube views later, and a massive fan online following, Martel is quickly becoming a recognizable name.
