Meanwhile, Wickham's "Battle Belongs" tops Billboard's Christian Airplay chart. Wickham shares how the song "Battle Belongs" (which he co-wrote with Brian Johnson) came about: "Before it was released, Battle Belongs became my personal prayer of hope and faith in the middle of a difficult season. It's so incredible to see how so many people, families and communities have taken it and made it their own anthems. What an honor it is to use music to point people to the hope that I have found in Jesus."
Wickham is grateful that "Battle Belongs" is at the top of the chart. "For me numbers are never the goal, but I do think they create appropriate moments to reflect on God's goodness, celebrate HIS grace, and thank the many people who played so many roles for this song to be heard by so many.
I remember last time that I had a number 1 song on radio (This Is Amazing Grace) I was about to go into vocal surgery and didn't know what would be on the other side of it. So beautiful and such a testimony of God's Grace to think of all that He has taught me and brought me through from then up till now.
Also a huge thanks to all you radio guys and gals for sharing this prayer of faith with your listeners. Very thankful! "
