Stephen McWhirter Re-Imagines the Hymns with New EP

World-renowned worship leader and former singer of Iron Bell Music, Stephen McWhirter has released his brand new record Hymn Session EP. The EP features McWhirter re-imaging four hymns of the church. Instead of just re-recording these gems, McWhirter have re-interpreted so that through these hymns we are not just singing about Jesus. Rather, we are singing to him.
One such example is "Turn Your Eyes (See Your Face)." "I've always loved the hymn, `Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,'" McWhirter confesses, "But could never fully connect with it because it was a song about Him, which is beautiful, but I wanted to sing to Him. With this version of the song, I re-crafted some of the lyrics, and combined it with an original song, "See Your Face," so I could sing to Jesus and not just about Him."
Tracklist:
01. Great Is Thy Faithfulness
02. Turn My Eyes (See Your Face)
03. Amazing Grace (Now I See)
04. It Is Well
McWhirter went from meth addict to worship leader, song writer with Sony PLG/Essential Music Publishing, and one of the primary voices for Iron Bell Music. He has been traveling and seeing thousands come to Christ by sharing his testimony and his songs. Now McWhirter has seen the release of 20 songs in 2020 alone, including the Grave Clothes EP, Come Jesus Come EP, Choir Sessions Album feat Jason Clayborn and the Atmosphere Changers.
