Ivan Parker Has Cancer and Needs Our Help

Southern Gospel singer and songwriter Ivan Parker has revealed that he has skin cancer. Currently, Parker is undergoing medical treatments and he seriously needs the help of fans and friends to help him with the medical expenses.
"Earlier this month, I was diagnosed with metastatic squamous cell carcinoma," Parker reveals. "Simply put, I have a skin cancer spot on the back of my tongue and lymph nodes that must be removed.
From the first meeting with my doctors, I have felt the peace that passes understanding and that everything would be okay and my doctors have confirmed the same. What the devil meant to hide, the Lord has revealed and the doctors have every confidence that after surgery I will make a complete recovery."
Brian Free and several other Southern Gospel music industry leaders have started a GoFundMe effort to help Ivan out with medical expenses and lost income while he is in treatment. You can help Parker financially by clicking HERE.
Serving as lead vocalist for the iconic quartet Gold City from 1983-1993-where he recorded his signature #1 hit, "Midnight Cry"- Ivan Parker's acclaimed solo career now spans more than 20 years. He has garnered 31 Singing News Fan Awards, highlighted by 12 Favorite Male Vocalist honors, while his #1 Southern Gospel radio singles include "Hit The Ground Running" and "I Choose." As a solo artist, Parker has released 16 recordings, five DVDs and has been featured in 32 best-selling Gaither Homecoming videos.
