The Frierson Brothers Bring Gospel Music to Life with "Breakthrough"

The Frierson Brothers, which comprises of Rev. Franklin Frierson, Sr., and Rev. Frederick Frierson, Sr., have now recorded and released a live album, Breakthrough, a powerful and engaging musical experience. "He's Alright" is the album's lead single that features Al Willis on guitar and Carlton Pope on organ.
The album was recorded live and produced by Grammy® nominated musician and producer Derrick Lee (Bobby Jones, Shirley Caesar, Beverly Crawford, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Lamar Campbell, Earl Bynum), and Co-Produced by James Perry (Dorothy Norwood, Georgia Mass Choir, Marion Williams). The album features the title track, a timely musical story capturing the reality of our existence in the current time of the pandemic, the rise of unemployment and political upheaval, and social injustice.
"The Frierson Brothers deliver a rich slice of gospel-funk with their irresistible single He's Alright," says Tim Dillinger, Gospel Music Historian.
"Riding atop a bass-driven groove, the Frierson's quartet-inspired vocals, accented by soulful horn lines, bring the old school soul of Stax Records together with the spirit feel of Gospel's classic Savoy recordings with the help of some of the best Gospel music players and background vocalists. This cut is custom made for the airwaves."
The new album is available on all digital music outlets. The Frierson Brothers' radio single, "He's Alright" is now impacting Gospel radio.
