"Star Wars Battlefront 3" Video Game Release Date Pushed Back to 2016 Due to Harrison Ford's Injury During Filming of "Star Wars 7;" Game Will Be Exclusive to PS4, Xbox 1, and Windows

"Star Wars Battlefront 3" Video Game Release Date Pushed Back to 2016 Due to Harrison Ford's Injury During Filming of "Star Wars 7;" Game Will Be Exclusive to PS4, Xbox 1, and Windows
Unfortunately for "Star Wars" fans, they may not get their latest fix as soon as they thought they would. The "Star Wars Battlefront 3" video game may not be released until 2016, as it is directly tied to the release of the "Star Wars 7" movie.
Filming on the movie has been delayed due to an injury sustained by Harrison Ford. Ford suffered a broken leg while filming a scene on the Millenium Falcon. Because the release of the video game will correlate with the release of the film, the delay in shooting will most likely cause the release of the video game to be delayed. Ford's publicist stated,"Harrison Ford's left leg was broken in an accident. His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
Fans of the series may remember when the video games for Episodes 2 and 3 of the "Star Wars" saga ended up spoiling the movies because they were inadvertently released to the public first. No doubt those in charge of production want to avoid film spoilers at all cost, so delay of the video game is probably inevitable.
When the game does finally become available, it will be available only for the PS4 and XBox One (the most current generation gaming consoles), as well as for Microsoft Windows. Although most fans are referring to it as "Battlefront 3," DICE are officially labeling the game as "Star Wars Battlefront," due to its position as a reboot of the series.
