Sister Wives Season 5 Spoilers and Reveals: Brown Family About to Split, Could First Wife Meri be Leaving the Family?

Kody Brown has had a polygamous marriage for decades after marrying his second and third wife in the nineties and his fourth in 2010. Of course, this has provoked rumors about them and their jealousy and in fighting for years now. The fifth season of the Sister Wives on TLC shows the latest of the sister wives in regard to loyalties to each other and individual struggles. The plot for the fifth season shows Meri becoming disillusioned with whole idea of the sister wives as she feels unappreciated by her family especially after Cody decided to marry Christine, Janelle and Robyn.

This could in fact be largely due to the lack of time that Cody gets to spend with her and the divided love and attention. However, there is the fact, that she has the least number of children with Kody because of an unexplained fertility issue. She has a daughter with him, Mariah who is currently 17 years old. The next wife Janelle has six children with Kody; Christine also has six children with Kody while Robyn, the latest addition to the family has 3 children out of the marriage and one with him. Similarly, there are now rumors that she might be pregnant with the number 18 addition to the Kody family. Of course, this will be quite unsettling for Meri who is the first wife to boot.

This is not the first time that she has shown her desire to go a different path as she talked with Kody about going back to college of which he was very supportive. All in all she had always agreed with the arrangement they had ever since the 90s. So it surprised many when she expressed solidarity with Richard's first wife Rebecca, another polygamist family, after they went to visit them. The feelings have  has become intensified recently as she is beginning to question her importance to the family unit and the fact that being the first wife is making her feel very neglected. It seems that the rumors about Robyn's pregnancy on the season finale might have been the last straw as she started dropping hints that she is on her way out of the family.
