NBC's The Voice Alum, Lana Scott, Addresses Mental Health with "Permanent"

NBC's The Voice alum, Lana Scott, has announced the release of her latest single, "Permanent." The song, which was inspired by the loss of two friends to suicide, is a heartfelt and emotional tribute to those struggling with mental health issues.
In Lana's own words, "Permanent" was written as an anthem of hope. "Releasing it feels like releasing a piece of my heart. I lost two friends to suicide growing up... This song is my way of acknowledging the importance of mental health and to encourage people to remember that whatever you are going through, it's not permanent."
In addition to releasing the single, Lana has partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention - proceeds from the single will benefit the organization. Scott will host their Nashville fundraising gala, "Be The Light," on May 23, 2023.
Lana's commitment to mental health advocacy is admirable, and the song "Permanent" serves as a powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is always hope.Lana Scott made it to the Top 8 on the immensely popular NBC show, The Voice, as a member of Team Blake. During her time on the show, she received high praise from the superstar coaches, with Kelly Clarkson commending her as "unstoppable," Blake Shelton recognizing her as "radio and tour ready," John Legend referring to her as a "songbird," and Ariana Grande describing her as a "perfectly-packaged country star."
