Branan Murphy Releases New Song “Close”
Today, North Carolina native Branan Murphy releases his new song "Close" (Paravel / DREAM) available today on all digital retail and streaming service providers. The song was produced by Kyle Williams (TobyMac, Social Club Misfits, We Are Messengers) and co-written with Branan Murphy. Murphy has been busy releasing new material all year as he leads up to the release of his sophomore LP Life is Hard, God is Good.
"This song will always hit different than the other ones on the album. It really was the beginning of the idea for Life is Hard. God is Good. as a concept. The song tells the story of the phone call my wife and I got in January 2021 from her parents. They were calling to tell us my mother in law had been diagnosed with cancer. The truth is we all have had those phone calls, those moments of bad news, the abrupt shift from "everything is good" to all of a sudden, it's not. In those moments, the good news is God is close. I have found there's no greater glory, no greater evidence of his goodness than his nearness. Better than circumstances changing is Jesus being right here. Right now. With me. I hope this song helps people realize how close he is." Branan Murphy
Branan's new radio single "Look At What Grace Can Do" was recently released to Christian AC radio and in just a couple of weeks has seen early success with stations WJTL/Lancaster, PA, WCRH/Hagerstown-Chambersburg-Waynesboro, PA, MD, WECC/Brunswick, GA, WNFR/Flint, MI, KYTT/Coos Bay, OR, WBHY/Mobile, AL, KBNJ/Corpus Christi, TX, WLJW/Traverse City-Petoskey, MI, KWVE/Orange County-Los Angeles, CA, WCLN/Fayetteville, NC and many more playing it.
