Last month, the Nelons, were involved in a tragic plane crash. The family was en route to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska when the accident occurred. The crash claimed the lives of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber and son-in-law Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, and the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa.
Ed Leonard, President, Daywind Music Group has this to say about the Nelons' final record: "This final album featuring the Nelons was completed shortly before the plane crash that claimed the lives of Nelons' members Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber Nelon Kistler, Jason Clark, Amber's husband, Nathan Kistler, and friends Melodi Hodges, Larry Haynie, and Melissa Haynie. We are heartbroken and miss them dearly. The Nelons were immensely proud of this recording produced by Jason Clark, Gordon Mote, Wayne Haun, and Bill Gaither, and featuring their friends Joseph Habedank, N.T. Martin, and the Gaither Vocal Band. Please let it minister to you as it has to us as we face the loss of these amazingly talented people who lived what they sang about every day."
