"House of Cards" Season 3 is currently filming for Netflix, but cast star Kevin Spacey was able to take some time away for a very interesting photo shoot and interview with Entertainment Weekly.
The magazine issue is covering the '25 Greatest Characters on TV' and they persuaded Spacey and "Veep" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus to swap Vice President roles for the covers.
As you can see above, Spacey goes along with it and transforms into Louis-Dreyfus's character, Selina Meyer by donning a wig, makeup, pearls a red power suit and even a French tip manicure. Louis-Dreyfus then takes on Spacey's character of Frank Underwood in "House of Cards'" and dons a suit, tie and shiny dress shoes. Of the two, Spacey looks decidedly commanding of his new look.
Even though the pictures draw you in, they both do interviews for the magazine as well that are both sure to be interesting. You can pick up their copy of Entertainment Weekly when it hits stands on Friday.
The "Seinfeld" alum shared, "Risk everything. I really mean that. Don't be afraid to look ugly. Don't be afraid to look a fool. Just risk."
"It's why I can't really watch that Seinfeld dance," she adds. "I just look like such an a--hole and such a buffoon. But you've got to be willing to go there, to look ugly and unattractive, and do that thing to find your way to a true, good place, comedically or dramatically."
Spacey shares, "Anything he says [can] sound like poetry. If you take ... just the right amount ... of pauses" in his best Morgan Freeman impression.
"House of Cards" Season 3 is expected to be 13 episodes and release to Netflix in February of 2015.
"House of Cards" is Netflix's first original series and received some nice validation with it's recent Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Drama Series". This was the first time a program from only a digital platform received a high-profile Emmy nomination.
