Tim Tebow In Washington, D.C. For The National Day Of Prayer And Urgent Advocacy For Renewed Hope Act

Tim Tebow, Founder and Chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF), is in Washington today for the National Day of Prayer, joining faith and civic leaders in a united call for wisdom, clarity, and courageous action. While in the nation's capital, Tebow is also joining bipartisan meetings on Capitol Hill, urging lawmakers and government leaders to support the Renewed Hope Act- a bill designed to expand the nation's ability to identify and safeguard children from the horrors of sexual exploitation and abuse.
"I'm grateful to be in D.C. for the National Day of Prayer. The hope is that people find strength in connecting with our Creator - humbly asking for wisdom and clarity about what He wants us to do, and for the courage to live it out. We're excited not only to gather and pray, but also to take action.
As we engage with policymakers on both sides of the aisle, one of our prayers is to gain the support needed for the Renewed Hope Act-so we can build a stronger rescue team to identify and safeguard children affected by the evil of child sexual exploitation." - Tim Tebow
The Renewed Hope Act, introduced in September 2024 with bipartisan sponsorship from Senators John Cornyn (R-TX), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and Representatives Laurel Lee (FL-15) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25), seeks to scale the capabilities of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) to identify and recover more than 50,000 children who have been seen in sexually abusive images by law enforcement but have not been protected yet.
"For too long, hundreds of thousands of girls and boys have endured horrific abuse often at the hands of adults who are supposed to protect them," Tebow said during the bill's introduction. "So many of these children have yet to even be identified, although their abuse has been shared and seen online. Children in our nation are right now living in the darkest of evils, crying out for help. Their pain must stir us to act."
Operations like Operation Renewed Hope-a multi-agency effort launched by HSI alongside the Tim Tebow Foundation, ICMEC, the FBI, DOJ, and 19 international partner -have already proven effective. In just three operations, more than 1,100 children have been identified, with over 400 already being safeguarded. But without broader support and increased resources, these efforts remain drastically under-scaled.
"In a fight where speed is critical, we need to get to these children faster," Tebow said. "I'm deeply grateful to our leaders for shining a light on this bipartisan issue so that we can build a stronger rescue team of analysts, investigators, and law enforcement as we unite to find and safeguard every child in our nation suffering this great evil."
The Tim Tebow Foundation exists to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. Since 2010, the foundation has served some of the world's Most Vulnerable People across more than 100 countries through initiatives in Orphan Care + Prevention, Special Needs, Profound Medical Needs, and Anti-Human Trafficking & Child Exploitation. TTF fights exploitation through Prevention, Rescue, and Survivor Care, in deep partnership with law enforcement, government agencies, and frontline organizations.
