Breanna Nix Returns to "American Idol" as Live Auditions Judge

Breanna Nix, fan-favorite and Top 3 finalist from Season 23 of American Idol, made an exciting return to the iconic singing competition as a guest judge during the live auditions held at the 2025 CMA Fest in Nashville. This marked the first time American Idol hosted live auditions on the festival stage, bringing the next generation of talent to one of country music's biggest events.
The 25-year-old stay-at-home mom from Denton, Texas, who captured audiences with her powerful vocals and heartfelt performances on the show, expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to mentor and encourage aspiring singers. Sharing her experience on social media, Nix inspired hopeful contestants to step forward and showcase their talents before the judging panel.
Before taking on her judging role, Nix dazzled fans with a captivating performance during the 19/BMG Takeover on June 4, featuring her hit single "Higher." The following day, she made a memorable debut at the Grand Ole Opry, earning two standing ovations with renditions of "Higher" and "The Goodness of God."
Since her breakout moment on American Idol, Breanna Nix has quickly risen in the music industry, releasing her debut single "Higher," which achieved significant success, topping the iTunes Country Songs chart and reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Digital Song Sales chart.
Breanna Nix's return to American Idol as a live auditions judge highlights her growing influence in both the country and Christian music scenes and underscores her commitment to encouraging and uplifting the next wave of musical talent.
