The Conjuring 2 Release Date, Reveals and Spoilers: Warner Bros and New Line Cinema to Face Charges on Copyright Violation Filed by Evergreen Media Group and Tony Grund
It would be unthinkable not to come up with a sequel to The Conjuring considering what a success it had been. Warner Brother's has finally announced the release date for October 23rd 2015. This is sooner than expected considering the first one come out just last year but we aren't complaining. The sequel is headed to England with the title 'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist'. . From the title in The Conjuring 2 it is suspected that the Warrens shall be investigating the1977 case of a single mother whose children were being haunted. The Warrens are a real life ghost hunting couple whose works inspired movies like The Amityville Horror Story.
The production powerhouse is expected to keep Vera Farminga and Patrick Wilson as the ghost busting duo however it is still unclear who shall be joining the cast. The first instalment was directed by the award winning James Wan, a talented and award winning Director, producer and writer who has worked on notable horror movies like Saw, Insidious and is currently working on Fast and Furious 7. The talented director is on record as saying; 'One thing I had never explored was the chance to tell a story based on real-life characters, real-life people.' In reference to reasons he took on The Conjuring. The movie grossed over 318 million dollars worldwide and the sequel is expected to rise to expectations if not do much better than its predecessor.
Warner Brother's and New Line Cinema are however facing charges of copyright violation filed by Evergreen Media Group and Tony Grund. They claim that any further work based on the ghost busting duos work and files is an infringement because they own the copyright. New Line have countered saying they had filed a claim for the rights for a 'Conjuring' TV series against Evergreen Media Group last year. It is unclear as to whether this will affect the release date or production of The Conjuring 2. We certainly hope not as we keenly look forward to October 2015 for the release of what seems shall be the perfect Halloween movie.
