Gospel Music Legends The Clark Sisters to Receive Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gospel music trailblazers The Clark Sisters will be honored with one of the entertainment industry's highest accolades: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The announcement comes as part of the Walk of Fame's Class of 2026, celebrating the group's indelible impact on music, culture, and the spiritual lives of millions.
The Clark Sisters are among 35 honorees selected by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, joining a diverse slate of luminaries including Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O'Neal, and Demi Moore. The date of their star unveiling ceremony will be announced at a later time.
With a career spanning over five decades, The Clark Sisters have redefined the sound and reach of gospel music. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, and mentored by their mother and gospel pioneer Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, the group broke barriers with their fusion of traditional gospel, jazz, soul, and R&B. They are the highest-selling female gospel group in history, with hits like "You Brought the Sunshine," "Is My Living in Vain," and "Blessed and Highly Favored."
Their accolades include two Grammy Awards, the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award (2020), and induction into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame (2022). They were also the subject of the acclaimed 2020 Lifetime biopic The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, produced by Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, and Mary J. Blige.
"This is a monumental honor not just for The Clark Sisters, but for gospel music as a whole," said a spokesperson for the group. "To be recognized in such an iconic way on Hollywood Boulevard speaks to the enduring power and influence of their ministry and music."
