Get the Know Some Twists and Turns of "House of Cards" New Season
Are you a "House of Cards" fan? Can't get enough of the Netfix hit series? We've got a bit of good news and bad news for you. The good news is that there will be a new season. But you'll have to wait until 2015.
If you find yourself impatient (and we know you are), get the lowdown on what's happening behind the scenes at the "House of Cards" set. Take for instance "House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey, who tweeted about going back to Washington for filming. While he didn't reveal any juicy details, his Tweet was intriguing nonetheless, "What a blast it was to do... Now back to Washington for... well, you know".
As if this wasn't enough, we likewise learned that filming will still take place in the show's original location, Maryland. Despite having a few problems due to permits and other issues, filming will still remain here. As for the Washington scenes which Spacey hinted about, these will only take up a few episodes.
And probably the biggest bit of juicy news about the show was revealed by its creator, Beau Willmon, who spoke with David Carr of the New York Times. One revelation was about the show's intriguing storyline. Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) might just find himself questioning his purpose in life-this despite his reaching his dream of becoming the President. You could say that it will be taking on a more "philosophical" twist as season 3 progresses.
Of course, the show's plot will continue to leave viewers at the edge of their seats. It wil begin with Frank Underwood weaving his way to become Vice President, albeit to the chargrin of many people. One of these disgruntled folks is reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara). She will use all her reporting and investigative skills (and then some) to get to the truth behind Underwood's and Peter Russo's (Corey Stoll) victory.
The Netfix original series (the first for its producer) is an Emmy Award nominee for "Outstanding Drama Series". As if this wasn't enough, it is the first of its kind for a show filmed on a digital platform.
