Super Smash Bros 4 Wii U/ 3DS Release Date, Characters, Rumors And Gameplay: Meta Knight Confirmed As An Addition To Super Smash Bros 4 Characters List
We have the latest for you on the rumors, character list update and gameplay of Super Smash Bros 4. Nintendo has confirmed that the Kirby character Meta Knight will be playable in the Super Smash for both Wii U and 3DS. The returning character was first seen in the series Wii entry Smash Bros Brawl.
The appearance of Meta Knight was seen as far too powerful by some, which led to the banning of the character from some professional tournaments. The Smash series boss, Masahiro Sakurai, has revealed that the returned Meta Knight will feature a changed moveset. He said, "Meta Knight's Up special move, Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game. The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponent's twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move." It is unfortunate though that we do not know how the appearance of Meta Knight will be used to recover; if the loop is anything like Brawl's you end up where you started, so once we see this in action and from there we'll know more.
Meta Knight is the 37th playable character to be announced. This leaves the fans wondering just how many more playable characters will be added for the Wii U and 3DS games. We only have one month to go until the Super Smash Bros 4 gets released in Japan. This means that time is running out for some of our favorite characters. Not long ago, Nintendo revealed three new fighters for Super Smash Bros 4 for both Wii U and 3DS; Captain Falcon, Lucina and Robin.
From the pictures recently released, it is very likely that Meta Knight will play similar to his Brawl incarnation, with a strong air game. It is safe to assume his signature Dimension Cape Down-B special will return. Following Sakura's pattern, we should be able to get some more information concerning the new character pops. This has been a long-anticipated announcement and since it is almost here, we only need to wait until the game has been released and we shall see how it goes. You can count on us to bring you the latest news that we shall get our hands on concerning the Super Smash Bros 4.
