We have the latest for you on the release date, trailer, power discs and gameplay of Disney Infinity 2.0. Disney Interactive has announced that there are a slate of additions and improvements that it has in store for the playground-styled Toy Box mode in Disney Infinity 2: Marvel Super Heroes. It is noted that it will emphasize ease-of-use and creativity-driven options in the upcoming sequel. The good news is that a release date has already been set. Disney Infinity 2.0 will launch on September 23rd for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and Wii U.
It had been previously teased at E3 2014 that Disney Infinity's Toy Box mode would offer options for procedurally generated content which will allow players to automatically fill out minor details in their worlds with structures, NPCs and the entire themed arranged at their discretion. The new Disney Infinity 2.0 will also offer a collection of themed templates, combat arenas and letting players kickstart their sandbox worlds with pre-made racetracks. Other new features in the game will include customizable interior layouts, structural mechanics for player-created minigames and an overhauled tutorial structure.
Disney Infinity announced that Donald Duck will be joining Mickey Mouse in the toys-meet-video-game title in time for the release of the game. Donald plays as the second of the big five. It has not yet been announced whether Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Pluto will be joining the game. Some of Donald's activities include sweeping up enemies with a brook, tossing objects and getting angry. Donald will also come with a themed Power Disc that will change Donald's in-game character's clothes into a Three Musketeers costume. Players of the game have also been given the freedom to decorate buildings when in the Toy Box 2.0 mode. Groot's roots can even be used to decorate the buildings' interior. The Announcement Trailer has already been uploaded online giving fans a sneak peek into what to expect from the video game.
According to Mirror UK, the expansion of the Toy Box World with the "Guardians of Galaxy" themed play set is bound to be a success. "Disney Infinity" is reported to have sold more than 3 million units since it was first launched in the previous year. They game has continued to grow in its popularity. A lot has been said about the upcoming game and the fans eagerly waiting for it. We only need to wait till the game is released and see how it goes.
