Homeland Season 4 Release Date, Trailer, News and Update: New Teaser Trailer Released by Showtime
With the shocking season 3 finale of Homeland last December 15, fans are now eagerly waiting the new season which will start airing in 2 months.
The Season 4 premiere is still 2 months away but Showtime has released a teaser trailer giving us a peek as to what will happen next. It is now revealed that in season 4 CIA officer Carrie Mathison is now mourning the loss of Brody and is forced to leave her new born baby being sent to the Middle East to uncover a new terrorist plot.
The new season has been described by co-creator Alex Gansa as "like doing another pilot," much like a reboot following the departure of Damian Lewis.
During an interview with reporters at the 2014 summer TV press tour, Gansa set-up the new season by saying, "We put a character at the center of that -- a compelling character, hopefully, in Carrie Mathison -- to really identify the personal costs of the journey. But there also is a national cost to our policies, in Afghanistan and Pakistan specifically," he says. "That's the story we're going to explore this season. It's got some juice to it."
In Homeland Season 4, actors Mark Moses, Art Malik and Nimrat Kaur are confirmed to be joining the new season. Moses will play a debauched expat named Dennis, Malik is a retired Pakistani general Bunran Latif and Kaur is a high-level operative within Pakistani's Inter-Services Intelligence. Other new cast members includes Corey Stoll, Laila Robins and Suraj Sharma.
Homeland season 4 premieres with two back-to-back episodes on October 5 on Showtime.
