Windows Phone 8.1 Release Date Updates: What's New in 8.1? What User's Can Expect In The New Operating System
Windows Phone 8.1 Release Date dates back to April 2, 2014. Windows has already launched the Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system at the Microsoft's Build Conference held at San Francisco earlier this year. Many updated have been added to the new operating system since then. Windows 8 is upgraded to Windows 8.1 with many new features that can be easily compared and noticed by its regular users.
What is new in "Windows Phone 8.1" when compared to Windows Phone 8? New features such as Cortana and Start Backgrounds are the most enticing features. Inclusion of Action Center and the new Calender is an obvious plus. More enhanced search functionalities for Bing with Cortana. Users can now use email and calender that support Google accounts and Microsoft accounts. Settings and personalization will helps uses to personalize Action Center, sounds and sync as per their suitability. People, calling and messaging now more easier with simplified contacts, phone calls and Facebook apps. More apps are added for more entertainment through music, videos and games. Photos and camera boasts new technology allowing users to use burst mode, settings and album management.
It would be absolutely easy and fun for users to move from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 as per Microsoft and enjoy the features it has to offer. Microsoft says, the new "Windows Phone 8.1 is jam packed with some cool new features that you will love." There are two ways users can get the new phone software. Either by buying a new phone or updating the current phone. It again would depend on the phone model, region, mobile operator and other specifications that can allow the update. The existing users would definitely be prompted to update the new version, says Microsoft.
