Building 429, 'We Won't Be Shaken' Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard Christian Album Charts
Building 429's most recent album, 'We Won't Be Shaken,' debuted at the top of the charts hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Christian albums chart and No. 53 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
This album marks the first No.1 album as well as the first No. 1 debut for the band, according toJesusfreakhideout. In addition, the title track and current single, 'We Won't Be Shaken,' has reached No. 5 on the Billboard AC Indicator chart, No. 7 on NCA Overall Chart, and No. 2 on Hot AC/CHR chart. It has impacted over 57 million people in the three months that it has been released on radio.
The new album has received rave reviews from many critics. Worship Leader Magazine called the new album, 'Masterfully written and produced.'
Vice President of Sales at Provident Label Group, Jimmy Wheeler, said that, "Building 429 is one of the hardest working bands in our business and to see them reach No. 1 for the first time on the Billboard Contemporary Christian Chart is a proud moment for all of us at Provident," according to the Christian Post.
Jason Roy, lead vocalist, guitar player and pianist, for Building 429 said that he had confidence in the record before it was even released. "We feel like we've made the most focused record of our career. We knew what we were trying to accomplish. We wanted to push the limits of what people expect us to do while maintaining the absolute laser focus on meeting our current fans where they are," he said, according to the Building 429 website.
Building 429 released 'We Won't Be Shaken,' on June 4. It makes their sixth full-length studio album to be released since the beginning of their career together as a band. They have been busy touring in support of the new album. Their most recent appearance was at the Atlanta Fest on the evening of June 13. They will be touring throughout the U.S. for the remainder of the summer and into the fall.
The band has also recently released a YouVersion post call, 'The Overflow Devo,' which includes seven daily devotionals based on the songs on 'We Won't Be Shaken.'
