Supergirl TV Series Rumors, Updates and Latest News: DC Comics Supergirl TV Series - What We Know So Far About Superman's Cousin
According to a report from DNAIndia.com, Warner Brothers Television is currently working on a new project that involves DC Comic's Supergirl: a TV series adaptation of the comic super heroine.
Geoff Johns, the writer of the comic book himself, may play a role in the writing and/or the production of the TV series. It was also reported that writer Greg Berlanti of "The Flash" and "Arrow" will be working with producer Ali Adler of "No Ordinary Family" and "Chuck."
In a separate article that was written and published by SuperHeroHype.com, it has also reported that DC Entertainment is currently having its plans of a Supergirl TV series pitched. According to the first Supergirl TV series rumor that was published, Michael Green, who was a big part of the hit TV series "Smallville" and "Heroes", will also be involved in the supposed TV series featuring the Superman's cousin. He is purported to be the producer and the writer of the series. However, in a Supergirl TV series update that was rolled out today, it was reported that Michael Green will no longer have any involvement in the show. In addition, Adler will also be the one to pen the show's pilot episode.
E! Online also confirmed that Supergrl will not be aired in CW, who airs Arrow and The Flash, though they are the one's who first pitched for the show.
All in all, these Supergirl TV series rumors have already been confirmed. The project is based on Otto Binder's character, which has also been designed in 1959 by Al Plastino. The pilot episode of the show's first season is set to come out a few months from now.
