Taylor Swift New Song 'Bad Blood' From New Album Calling Out Popstar Katy Perry?
Taylor Swift opens up to Rolling Stone in their latest issue about a song off of her new album called "Bad Blood". She reveals some details about the story without naming any names. The magazine hits newsstands Friday (September 12).
On 1989's song "Bad Blood" written about another unnamed female artist: "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' [Then last year] she did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
These comments have been linked to pop singer Katy Perry. So we will have to see how this all plays out.
"The Voice" has also announced that Taylor Swift will be joining the show as a mentor for Season 7. "Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with," a source told the mag. "She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor." Swift will help all four teams in the same role that Coldplay singer Chris Martin did last year in Season 6.
Swift announced last month that she will be releasing her new album 1989 on October 27th and she revealed that you can pre-order the new album at her website now.
There would be a deluxe edition of the album and it will include three bonus tracks that are "just voice memos from my phone" to help her fans see into her writing process that she gets asked about so much.
