Get ready to laugh on Christmas day: Hot Tub Machine 2 in theaters on December 25; Casts and Teasers Revealed
Following its first sequel which was released in 2010, Hot Tub Machine 2 is set to be released in theaters on Christmas day, 25th of December, this year 2014.
This American science fiction adventure comedy film is about Nick and Jacob (played by Craig Robinson and Clark Duke respectively) who tried to make a time travel to the past using a hot tub to save Lou (played by Rob Corddry) being shot but both were mistakably brought ten years in the future instead. It was a challenge for them to alter the time they travelled if they are truly determined to save their present-day situation.
The first sequel received positive reviews scoring 64% from Rotten Tomatoes. A comment on the first film suggests, "its flagrantly silly script-and immensely likable cast-make up for most of its flaws," leaving this year's film a challenge to surpass the comedic scheme made on the first film.
The 2010 sequel ranked 3rd on its first week with a weekend gross of $14 million in 2,754 theaters while it spent 4 weeks in the top ten. In 11 weeks from its release, it grossed $50,287,556 domestically and totaled revenue over $61 million.
The upcoming film is starred by Craig Robinson, Adam Scott, Rob Corddry, Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, and Clark Duke. Crew and staff of the said comedy film started to make and produce the film since June 2013. Both first and second sequel are directed by Steve Pink and written by Josh Heald.
