'Ghostbusters 3' Latest News: No Bill Murray But All Female Stars Might Rule The Show
Recently, it is reported by some online news platforms that Bill Murray will no longer join Ghostbusters 3 but he gamely shared his choices of actresses for the franchise's third installment.
At TIFF, Murray said, "Melissa (McCarthy) would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny - God, she's funny! ... I like this girl Linda Cardellini (Freaks & Geeks) a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there." Bill Murray reiterated that he has no intentions to join the cast of the new film.
Isn't that a great news? When asked about Murray's recommendation, Melissa McCarthy replied, "I think that somebody is really trying to do it but nobody has talked to me about it. Listen, if the people I think are doing it , I must never question them... Oh, my God, that's daunting. That's taking on a legend, a legendary movie. But I would do anything with those ladies, anything at all."
According to Hollywood Reporter, Ghostbusters 3 will be directed by Paul Feig, with female stars as leads. There are no official announcements yet by Sony, the film's studio, regarding the release date, casting, plot and trailers. However, the studio is rumored to start the production of the American supernatural comedy film in 2015 in New York. Some reports have suggested that shooting may be done in Cleveland.
