We have the latest for you on the spoilers, air date, trailer, episode 1 preview and rumors of The Originals Season 2. Things were not looking good for the Original Family when the season ended i.e. Hope was gone in a pursuit to keep her safe, Mikael was back and still was driven to killing Klaus "his disgrace", Esther was back and she brought along one of his sons of whom his identity is still a mystery. Francesca seemed to be in charge with her pack of werewolves but for how long? From events of The Originals season one, we know Klaus is not one to give up easily when it comes to power and season one ended with him making a promise to his daughter, Hope that he will make New Orleans a safe place for her to live in.

New photos of the Originals season 2 premiere have been released which depict the original family in their pursuit for retribution after an unexpected turn of events in the season finale. In one photo, Hailey seems to be sulking in despair as she comes to terms with becoming a hybrid and having to give up her baby to keep her safe from the dangers lurking in New Orleans.

In another Klaus looks like he is lost in thoughts probably scheming how he can take back "his city" something that he is known for from what we saw in season one. Marcel is engaged in a fight in a club with one of the Big Easy less favorable characters. Later, he meets up with his sire (Klaus), could this be a possible alliance? It will be good to see Klaus and Marcel get along after all they have been through and especially now as they are on the brink of extinction with all that is going on in New Orleans.

Esther and an unidentified Mikaelson brother in the released photos are seen strolling through the French Quarter. This builds the suspense as the Season's two 'Big Bads' leisure around with their motives still unknown.

Elijah in one of the photos seems to be still in rage as he fights one of the werewolves and rids him of his moonlight ring and later his pulse.

The Originals returns for a second season on October 6^th at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
