'St. Vincent' Latest News and Update: Movie Plot and a Look at the First Official Poster of 'St. Vincent'

It's finally here - the official poster of "St. Vincent." Bill Murray plays the lead character in the film together with newcomer Jaeden Lieberher. Their chemistry in the film is undeniable. St. Vincent's trailer showed an unlikely pair that found refuge in each other.

Murray plays the role of St. Vincent de Van Nuys, a Vietnam veteran who lives next door to Oliver (Jaeden Lieberher). Oliver's parents just recently divorced and he finds companionship with Vincent.

Critics who have seen the movie have nothing but praise. It may seem that from the plot for the movie, "St. Vincent" is just like any other feel good movie, but this movie "will make audiences feel great about going to the movies again." It's light and heartwarming.

"St. Vincent" stars Melissa McCarthy, a great comedienne who plays the role of Maggie, Naomi Watts, the Russian "woman of the night," Chris O'Dowd plays the role of a Catholic priest who also happens to be Oliver's teacher.

There's an Oscar buzz going around that the film will be just like "Silver Linings Playbook." If you will remember, that movie took home several major awards in "stealth mode." No one expected it but it happened. Is the same thing going to happen with "St. Vincent"? If the standing ovation at the Princess Of Wales theater during an advance screening is any indication, well, we better brace ourselves. Bill Murray and the rest of the cast did an outstanding job. McCarthy played that part well. She knows how to "underplay" the role if needed. It is a strong contrast from the role she played in the movie Tammy. Watts, we all remember her as Princess Diana and now she's a woman of the night. Every actor in the movie is a breath of fresh air, just like the movie "St. Vincent."

"St. Vincent" opens in limited release on Oct. 10 and a nationwide release on Oct. 24.
