Apple brings iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus powered by the newest OS named iOS8 while Google has shifted the gear with the new update of Android world named Android L. So the competition between these giant operating systems will be experienced by the users once Google releases the latest Android operated smartphones
Both the companies have tried to develop the notification sector since it is one of the most used user interface. The new feature of iOS 8 allows user to react quickly to the notifications without entering the apps itself. On the other hand Android has more interactive notification feature. Through notification panel Android L lets user to handle calls, texts, mails, and lots of other features with only a single tap.
Apple has finally updated the iOS to predictive typing skill. There has been a lot of complain regarding the predictive typing which has been absent in the previous versions of iOS. While typing a word the suggested word will appear and with only one tap, the user might get the desired word without writing full words. Third party developer keyboard has been latest addition to iOS 8. Though Apple is improving to cut the loose ends off but these options have already been offered in the previous versions of Android.
In terms of power management Google claims to find success in providing longer battery life than before. Ars Technica has been able to extend the life of battery by two hours with the new version of Android. On the other hand Apple has given the freedom with the new iOS to users to check the details of battery consumption breakdown. This has been available in Android for years. Apple has reduced the thinness of the iPhone 6 model, but didn't increase the battery capacity size.
From earlier tests it has been discovered that iOS 8 is responding slower than the previous iOS versions in terms of browsing while Android is improving the speed with their every update. So the day has come when the companies will look forward to shift to 64-bit hardware performance rather than the 32-bit.
