'Covert Affairs Season 5 Spoilers': Walker and McQuaid's Love Story Returns on November 6
Last October 3, 2013, USA network has decided to keep Covert Affairs for its fifth season renewal.
Covert Affairs is an American television series, following Annie Walkier, a young CIA trainee who is sent to serve in the Domestic Protection Division (DPD) as a field agent.
The start of the story revealed Annie as a worker in Acquisitions at the Smithsonian Museum. The fourth season revealed that her new cover is a glamorous and well-connected importer-exporter, with sophisticated tastes and transactions that may be illegal of sort.
The main characters of the television series include Piper Perabo as Anne Catherine "Annie" walker, Christipher Gorham as August "Auggie" Anderson, and Nic Bishop as Ryan McQuaid.
Other members of the cast are Karl Matchett as Joan Campbell, Anne Dudek as Danielle Brooks, Sendhill Ramamurthy as Jai Wilcox, Peter Gallagher as Arthur Campbell, and Hill Harper as Calder Michaels.
In Season 5, Perry Reeves returns as Caitlyn Cook, the assistant of Ryan McQuaid.
Created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, with James Parriott, Dave Bartis, and Doug Liman as executive producers, the fifth season of Covert Affairs premiered last June 24, 2014.
The showrunners Chris Ord and Matt Corman recently had an interview with Entertainment Weekly. They said in the interview that the views should expect to see more Aleksandre Belenko.
"There's an international end there where you see Annie staring daggers at Belenko on the screen. In many ways, this episode was not only a finale to our summer season, but was intendd to introduce Belenko as a character who we will definitely be seeing a lot of later," Ord told the interviewers.
More than that, fans should also expect seeing romance sprouting between Annie Walker and Nic Bishop. "We felt in many ways they both needed it. We hope fans like it. We love McQuaid as a character. Nic Bishop's doing just a phenomenal job. So hopefully the fans will be excited about it," Ord stated.
"We know that there's a lot of Walkerson shippers out there, and that's always something that's playing feels right. And to us, it certainly felt right forward," Ord added.
Covert Affairs returns on November 6, 2014, Thursday, at 10PM, on USA.
