'Homeland' Season 4: Begins With Carrie While She Is Still Carrying The Baby On Her Womb.
Homeland, the primetime Emmy award winner for outstanding drama series is back on its season 4. The 2-hour series begins on Sunday and fans can expect a remarkable change. Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is returning, the talented CIA agent with bipolar disorder, but certainly not with Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis).
Last season ended up with dismantling happening on the life of Brody and Carrie. They failed to run and leave politics behind. Brody was left hanging in Tehran while the helpless Carrie was left no words on what took place. The former vice presidential candidate, ex-congressman, ex-marine and former terrorist was left hanging till he dies.
'Homeland' Season 4 begins with Carrie while she is still carrying the baby on her womb. Still feeling depressed on what happened to Brody she will remain poise to separate her emotions and her career.
However, reports reveal some speculations that Brody's character will be returning. He was seen on the set as he was leaving his trailer on the location for the series shooting. This sparked rumors that he will be coming back and will be appearing in the flashback scenes.
Meanwhile, Alex Gansa, the co-creator of the series earlier explained the reason why Brody's role was cut short. He claimed that the show is focusing on the life of the CIA agent, Mathison. Gansa also stated that Brody's role was in fact to exit in season 1, but due to his excellent portrayal of his role he was maintained as a regular cast for three seasons.
'Homeland' Season 4 will be featuring Carrie as she remains tough as a single mother. She will face more responsibilities as a CIA agent and as a mother to Brody's baby. Gansa told too that Brody will remain an important part of Carrie's life. And for this reason, it will be harder for Carrie to move on.
Since Brody's character was killed off in the series, it is seen that his fans felt disappointed to what had happened to his character. Some fans claimed that they will no longer watch the show without Brody. But Gansa said that this is the time that the fans have to watch out on how Carrie will deal the biggest loss of her life.
