Eminem, Metallica and Bruce Springsteen Headlining HBO Veterans Day Concert for HBO November 11
There is a massive concert in the works for this coming Veterans Day (Nov 11) to be held at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. According to THR, Tom Hanks will be executive producing the event, teaming up with HBO and Starbucks and they are calling it The Concert for Valor.
The Concert for Valor has confirmed appearances include Eminem, Metallica, Dave Grohl, Jamie Foxx, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band and Meryl Streep. The all-star event that will pay tribute to armed services.
You can tune in to the concert live on Veterans Day, November 11 on HBO 7/6c.
"The Concert for Valor will provide a national stage for ensuring that veterans and their families know that their fellow Americans' gratitude is genuine," HBO wrote in a statement. "Millions of people, including veterans, active duty service members, their families and Americans from all walks of life are expected to watch the free concert in person or on television, with the goal of raising awareness for veterans service organizations dedicated to education, wellness, reemployment and reintegration."
Although HBO is broadcasting the concert, the channel is promising to make the available viewable for all cable customers, including those who don't subscribe to HBO.
Joel Gallen will direct the Concert for Valor TV special. He previously directted The 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert and the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for HBO.
