How the Grinch Stole Christmas Movie Release Date, Reveals, Rumors and Updates: Jim Carey to Reprise Role of the Grinch
You may be thinking to yourself that to you are certain you watched this movie and Jim Carey was in it. You are right but technology has com such a long way since the year 2000 that it would be downright irresponsible not to venture into the remake business. Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment announced that they are working together on a computer animated remake of the movie. Illumination Entertainment I having a fairly good couple of years with Despicable Me 3 and Minions in the pipelines and money makers like The Lorax and Despicable Me behind them, they are looking to add this classic to their stable. Peter Candeland is set to direct the movie that has been given a November 17th 2017 release date.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a book by Dr. Seuss about a town that is somehow contained on a snowflake. We know that the good doctor likes impossibly small towns. Once upon a time, long time ago a wind brought a baby to the town that did not look like the other children, raised by elderly sisters. The Grinch is generally naughty but he is not a bad person however constant ridicule from his classmates turns him into a hateful person who lives in a mountain adjacent to the town. Years later a little girl asks him to come back but after being ridiculed again he exacts revenge by stealing their Christmas gifts and trees. High in the mountain h waits to hear the citizens crying but instead they sing with joy having discovered the true meaning of Christmas. The Grinch return to the town reformed, returning their gifts and everybody lives happily ever after.
It would be a massive pleasure to have Jim Carey come back to voice the Grinch but he has not hinted nor has there been any news that he is considering it. The cast is still a mystery as at now but as soon as we get any information you will be the first to know.
