Facebook Latets News, Updates: Social Networking Giant to launch a new app soon that hides the real names
There are reports that Facebook is coming up with an app that will hide the real name of the users. The users can put any fake name or be anonymous and participate in the forums. They can also state their views and write articles with their fake names. This way they can also earn while not displaying their real names.
One year ago, Facebook tied up with a company called Branch and they are developing this app for Facebook. Branch CEO Josh Millar had confirmed the news. The new application will help the people in giving their views in various communities without revealing their identities. Users can join the forums that are of their own interest.
Facebook caught a lot of flak from the LGBT community when Facebook had suspended hundreds of accounts with fake names. Later on, Facebook apologized. It also revealed that the accounts were suspended just intentionally reported them fake.
Facebook promised that it would have a thorough investigation before deleting someone's profile from the social networking site. They are trying their best to improve the support system of Facebook without hurting any one's feelings.
Facebook has already started working on its commitment. The company faces a lot of tough competition as some new social networking sites are already allowing users to be anonymous such as Whispher, Reddit, and more others. Facebook remains to be the largest site with the biggest number of subscribes. However, it has to step up its game. This ability to use fake name just might do it for the company. For now, it is not clear how Facebook would incorporate the app.
It is a wait and watch situation at the moment. Once it is launched, the app will certainly become a hit amongst swarms of Facebook users.
