Godzilla 2 Cast, Reviews, Rumors and Updates: Release Date for Upcoming movie Pegged for June 8^th 2018

In the first installment, Godzilla was not the bad guy even the overtones of the first few scenes proved the opposite. However, later we came to know that he was in fact a force for good. After all, he went and saved the earth from the giant aphid like beings which of which he was the natural predator. There are several questions that we need to ask for the new installment. For example, what new Kaiju are we expecting in the sequel and where will they come from? The production house, Legendary Pictures has acquired the rights to the books written by Toho who also wrote Godzilla and the characters therein.   They may appear from some cave to mate and terrorize the world.

As 2014 comes to a close, the studios are looking to book dates for their later releases.  If we were to say that a sequel was in the pipelines would be a lie, the fact is that Godzilla was originally meant to be a standalone movie, but after a great opening weekend rumors of a sequel began to fly around probably because of the great release that it had not to mention the money it accumulated. There were also rumors of combining Pacific Rim and Godzilla since they both have Kaijus in them but Gareth Edwards who directed Godzilla just wanted to make a good movie first before making any plans. The success of the movie firmly was stamped and then it was announced the sequel would be coming on June 8^th 2018. At this time, Gareth Edwards is working on a star wars project so we all have to be patient.

The release date is far away and it is safe to say that the cast and crew are still a mystery to Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. What we do know at the present Gareth Edwards shall definitely come back to direct. Fans are hoping for an Aaron Taylor-Johnson return which would be highly likely seeing as he survived the last movie.
